You know I was re-reading my previous 2 entries and realized that I was so excited I was literally babbling on in nonsensical english. Certain bits were comprehensible but most of them were repetitive and just strange! That shows what happens to me when I get all hyped up about something. Well I have finally calmed down and decided to think about the consequences of my new job. It would definitely affect my social life as I grow into the job and am worried how Fel would actually take it. We have yet to sit down to have a conversation about this. Yes Fel is extremely happy for me and reassures me that I will be fine but I'm just worried about the amount of hours I will have to put into the job. It is very demanding and would require me to attend a fair bit of social events held by the hotel or organized by me. I have yet to start work and already I've been invited to a Christmas party on Dec 4th.

It scares me because this is the time when I realize I am growing up and working is not all as easy as getting up in the morning, arriving punctually for work and leaving when its time. That's what I've been doing with my current job as it is very undemanding and unchallenging. Maybe its my fault for asking for a more challenging role! But all in all I am very happy to be offered this job. Chad did mention that the pay I was offered is far better than a lot of professional graduates. Do remember that the degree that I received was a plain B. Arts with triple major. Nothing like a law, commerce or accounting degree. So I do count my lucky stars but with good starting pay comes big responsibilities. I do hope to go far in this industry especially with Stamford since it is an international chain. Wish me luck as I know that I WILL need luck and a lot of hard work.

Now on a lighter note....I've decided to do a Friday Five. Don't ask me why, I haven't done it in a while and I thought the questions were relevant since its one of my hobbies!

1. Do you like to shop? Why or why not?
Of course I do! If I had all the money in the world I'll be shopping at least three times a week. Why do I like shopping? Well two words "RETAIL THERAPY" Men always wonder if it really works and the answer is YES YES YES it does. Even if I don't have that much money to splurge on bags, clothes and shoes a short outing to Coles would even make me happy!

2. What was the last thing you purchased?
Hhmm....it was last week and was not for myself. Was in the span of two days and both were for other people (How I wish it was for myself). Last Wednesday we went to Louis Vuitton to purchase erm....BAGs for Fel's aunt. Yes its in plural...don't ask. I'll remember it my entire lifetime. The following day I went to Grace Brothers (or Myer) to buy erm again numerous lingerie for my bestfriend and later on body lotion for another bestfriends mother.

3. Do you prefer shopping online or at an actual store? Why?
I like to view items online and then head to the actual store to buy them. Makes more sense that way! I don't believe that much in online shopping especially eBay and what not. I'm a big softie for designer bags and do not trust buying them online unless they are direct from the designer! Well I would purchase bags online but nothing else!

4. Did you get an allowance as a child? How much was it?
Nopes never got an allowance till I arrived in Sydney. It was always "Daddy, can I have money" followed by the usual booming of "What for?"

5. What was the last thing you regret purchasing?
I'd have to say the pair of Bally slip ons. Don't get me wrong I believe that they make terrific shoes but I think I bought that pair of shoes on impulse, really did not think twice about it. My mom's now wearing them and she said they're not very nice, should've gotten Ferragamo pumps instead. Talking about shoes I NEED TO get myself a pair of Manolo Blahnik shoes! I'm dying to get my feet in them. That is if I can afford them....:(

So everyone if you must know the top two things on my shopping wishlist are
1. A Hermes Birkin bag, that has a waitlist on it and P.O.A!!!
2. A fantastic pair of (or maybe more than one) Manolo Blahnik
3. A collection of Jimmy Choo's if I can't afford Blahnik's!!

That's all for now....I'm still dreamy over my wishlist....IF ONLY!

An update on the interview I had yesterday. I GOT THE JOB! Am currently in the office (the old one) and I'm so nervy today because I've been waiting for my offer letter since yesterday night and it still has not been emailed to me! Want to know why I'm so nervy? Well as everyone who reads my blog would know, my current boss is a very dominating and scary person. I've typed out my resignation letter and once I receive the letter of appointment I'll gladly tender my resignation. I just want it over and done with because I don't want to wait till much later when it might be in a rush.

If anyone wants to know my new job is as an Admin/Marketing person. Basically what I do for Stamford is to take care of the retail tenants in there for example repairs. Basically the general management of the retail clients. Second part of the marketing job is organizing events for the retailers. That bit of the job is going to be very interesting but at the same time very stressful. They did point out that the job is not easy and that I should be prepared for it. It did freak me out a little but right now I think the thought of submitting my actual resignation is scarier!

Please help me! I hope that I will receive the offer letter really really soon so that I can get this over and done with. I just hate waiting around know I have to do something but I cant actually do it!

Guess what. I'VE GOT AN INTERVIEW TOMORROW WITH STAMFORD HOTEL! I'm so excited. They rang me yesterday to ask me if I was able to attend it on Wednesday and I quickly said yes. Its for an administration role with the Property Management and Project division. Pretty interesting though. What more Satmford Hotel is owned by a Singaporean country and I will be interviewed by a Singaporean too! I find this ironic to a certain extent as here I am in Australia and might be working with a Singaporean company.

I do really want the job and hope that the interview will run smoothly. I'm badly in need of a change. Since Joanne left I just feel that I should leave as soon as I can. Well there's personal reasons as well such as wanting to get a higher paying job, getting into a company where career growth is available and to gain more experience!

Anyways...wish me luck for tomorrow as I really want this job badly!
